Blackpink's Jisoo sets new record as first K-pop female solo artist to achieve "million-seller" status.

Blackpink's Jisoo has signaled the first "million-seller" achievement for a K-pop female solo artist.

According to YG Entertainment on the 28th, Jisoo's solo album 'My' surpassed 1.24 million pre-orders just three weeks after starting pre-sales on March 6th. This is the highest number ever achieved by a K-pop female solo artist for a single album.

'My' had already set a new record in this category by exceeding 510,000 copies in just two days after starting pre-sales, and more than 950,000 copies in two weeks as of March 20th.

Prior to Jisoo, solo artists Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa all set new records in album sales, YouTube views, global charts, and more, establishing significant milestones for K-pop. Attention is now focused on Jisoo's new history with her million-seller achievement.

Meanwhile, Jisoo will release her first solo album 'My' on March 31st at 1 pm KST. The album features the title track 'Kkot' and the song 'All Eyes On Me', and the music video was shot overseas with the largest production budget ever for a Blackpink video.

YG stated, "Jisoo has selected tracks that show her unique musical color after working with producers for a long time," and added, "As the album title 'My' suggests, you can fully feel Jisoo's charm."

Jisoo's solo album 'My' will be released on March 31st at 1 pm KST.
