BTS Jin 'The Astronaut', Hungary 'Single Top 40' 16 week chart.


BTS's Jin has shown his powerful music prowess by charting on Hungary's chart for 16 weeks with his solo single "The Astronaut." The single reached 7th place on Hungary's Single Top 40 Chart for the 11th week of March 2023.


With this achievement, Jin has set a new record as the longest-charting solo artist from Asia, breaking his own previous record. "The Astronaut" was released on October 28th last year and reached number 1 on Hungary's chart for four consecutive weeks, from the 49th week of 2022 to the 52nd week. In total, the song has reached number 1 for 5 weeks. Jin has become the first and only Asian solo artist to set records for the longest consecutive and overall number 1 on Hungary's chart.


This is the second-longest number 1 record in Asia after BTS's "Butter." Jin has now achieved the top spot on Hungary's chart both as a solo artist and as a member of BTS, making him the only Asian artist to have achieved the longest consecutive number 1 and the second-longest overall number 1 on Hungary's chart.


Moreover, Jin has made a strong impact as a solo artist with his powerful music, charting six songs, including "Moon," "Yours," "Super Tuna," "Abyss," and "Tonight," on Hungary's Single Top 40 Chart. His solo song "Moon" previously reached number 1 on Hungary's Single Top 40 Chart in the 27th week of 2020, making it the first number 1 solo song from a BTS album and the second number 1 for a K-pop solo artist.


"The Astronaut" is a heartfelt gift from Jin to his fans before his military enlistment, featuring a soothing acoustic guitar melody and attractive synthesizer sounds.
