"BTS Jimin's Solo Album 'FACE' Sweeps Japan's Oricon Charts"



 

BTS member Jimin has shown his outstanding popularity by sweeping the daily and weekly album rankings of Japan's Oricon with his first solo album, "FACE."


According to the latest chart (as of April 3, based on the period of March 20-26) released by Oricon on March 29, "FACE," which was released on the 24th, entered the weekly digital album ranking with 5,264 downloads and immediately took the top spot.


Jimin had already reached the top spot in the weekly album ranking and set a record for the highest sales by a solo artist this year, also becoming the first solo artist of the year to achieve this feat.


"FACE" is an album that Jimin actively participated in throughout the entire production process, from the planning stage to working on the songs and music videos. He expressed his sincere emotions felt during the two-year-long COVID-19 pandemic. The album includes the title track "Like Crazy," as well as "Set Me Free Pt.2," which showcases powerful performances, "Face-off," a trap soul genre track, "Interlude: Dive," featuring impressive dreamy instrumentals, and "Alone," a pop ballad.


Meanwhile, Jimin has been meeting fans worldwide through various music and entertainment contents since he unveiled the first performance of "Like Crazy" on the popular US TV show "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
