BTS's J-Hope to enlist in the army as an active-duty soldier

On April 1, Big Hit Music announced, "J-Hope will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the army to fulfill his military service duty. There will be no separate official event on the day of his entrance to the new recruit training center."

The agency continued, "The entrance ceremony for the new recruit training center is an event where many soldiers and their families gather. To prevent any safety accidents due to on-site congestion, we ask fans to refrain from visiting the location. Please send your warm support and encouragement to J-Hope in spirit only."

The statement also warned, "Please be cautious not to fall victim to any unauthorized tours or package products using the artist's IP. We will take appropriate measures against any commercial activities that exploit the artist's IP without permission."

Finally, the agency added, "We ask for your support and unwavering love until the day J-Hope completes his military service and returns in good health. We will also spare no effort in continuously supporting our artist."

While J-Hope's enlistment date has not been disclosed, he recently mentioned, "I cannot give you the details, but the (enlistment) date has been set. It's time to start preparing gradually."
