K-pop idol group ASTRO member Moonbin (25) has passed away.


According to the police, on the 19th at around 8:10 pm, Moonbin was found dead in his residence in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. His manager discovered him and reported it to the police. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed, but the police are investigating it as a possible extreme choice.


Moonbin's sudden passing has left his agency and fellow members in shock. ASTRO member Cha Eun-woo, who is currently in the United States, is preparing to return to Korea.


Fantagio, Moonbin's agency, said in a statement, "We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to deliver this devastating news. ASTRO member Moonbin has suddenly left our side and become a star in the sky." Moonbin debuted in 2016 as a member of the male idol group ASTRO. Recently, he was also active as a unit 'Moonbin & Sanha' and was scheduled to appear in events such as the Dream Concert.
