Blackpink has reclaimed the top spot in the girl group brand reputation rankings, beating out NewJeans.





Blackpink has ranked first in the girl group brand reputation index, according to big data analysis conducted by the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute in April 2023.


The institute analyzed 55,611,462 pieces of brand-related big data from March 9th to April 9th, 2023, and measured the brand reputation index of girl groups based on participation, media, communication, and community indices.


Compared to last March's big data of 57,871,378, there was a 3.91% decrease in the amount of data analyzed.


Brand reputation index is a metric created through big data analysis of consumer online habits that have a significant impact on brand consumption. The index can measure the positivity and negativity evaluation of girl groups, media interest, consumer interest, and communication volume, including channel analysis of brand reputation monitors.


The ranking of girl group brand reputation index in April 2023 was as follows: Blackpink, New Jeonseu, IVE, Twice, (G)I-DLE, Red Velvet, Girls' Generation, Apink, Luselaphim, Espa, Oh My Girl, WJSN, HAIKI, StayC, Mamamoo, Promise Nine, Girl's Day, ENHYPEN, APRIL, ITZY, Dreamcatcher, EXID, Kepler, Signature, Rocket Punch, La Boum, Woo!ah!, Ladies' Code, Ellis, Bling Bling.


Blackpink, consisting of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, took first place in the girl group brand reputation index with a participation index of 223,788, media index of 1,999,661, communication index of 1,621,284, and community index of 4,282,218, resulting in a brand reputation index of 8,126,951. This is a 60.32% increase compared to their brand reputation index of 5,069,149 in March.


In second place, New Jeonseu (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyun) had a participation index of 630,632, media index of 1,479,989, communication index of 886,879, and community index of 2,430,999, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,428,500, which is a 1.22% increase compared to their brand reputation index of 5,362,902 in March.


In third place, IVE (An Yujin, Ga-eul, Rae, Jang Won-young, Lee Suh) had a participation index of 384,336, media index of 991,965, communication index of 621,033, and community index of 1,285,662, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,282,997, which is a 21.37% increase compared to their brand reputation index of 2,704,894 in March.


Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute President Koo Chang-hwan said, "In April 2023, Blackpink (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) took first place in the girl group brand reputation index based on the analysis of big data on brands." He added, "When analyzing the girl group brand category, it decreased by 3.91% compared to the big data of 57,871,378 in March. In detail, brand consumption decreased by 11.95%, brand issues decreased by 1.11%, brand communication decreased by 20.97%, and brand expansion increased by 3.48%."
