BLACKPINK's 'How You Like That' MV surpasses 1.2 billion views
BLACKPINK (Rosé, Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa)'s 'How You Like That' music video has surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube.
YG Entertainment announced on the 11th that BLACKPINK's 'How You Like That' music video surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube at 4:41 AM that day. It took about 2 years and 9 months since its release on June 26, 2020, and this achievement is due to the consistent interest of global fans in BLACKPINK's music.
'How You Like That' contains a message of soaring high without succumbing to any situation. It won Song of The Summer at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards and topped YouTube's Global Top Summer Song that year.
The song also achieved good results in terms of music chart performance. At the time of its release, it achieved a 'perfect all-kill' on domestic music charts, ranked 2nd on Spotify's Global Top 50 Chart, 20th on the UK Official Singles Top 100, and 33rd on the Billboard Hot 100, dominating the mainstream pop market.
With this, BLACKPINK now has six videos with over 1.2 billion views among a total of 41 videos with over a billion views. The music videos for 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' (2 billion views), 'Kill This Love' (1.7 billion views), 'BOOMBAYAH' (1.5 billion views), 'As If It's Your Last' (1.2 billion views), and the 'How You Like That' dance video (1.3 billion views) have achieved such view counts.
BLACKPINK has recently seen rapid growth in both YouTube views and subscribers. They have repeatedly shown explosive growth with each new song release. Jisoo's first solo album, released on March 31, has once again become a catalyst. In fact, their cumulative content views have exceeded 30 billion, and the number of channel subscribers has surpassed 86.4 million.
