BTS Member Suga Named NBA Ambassador

BTS member Suga has been appointed as the promotional ambassador for the National Basketball Association (NBA). On April 6, NBA's office and Big Hit Music, BTS's agency, announced the news through a press release.

Suga will serve as the ambassador for the remainder of the 2022-23 season and beyond, connecting with NBA fans worldwide. A passionate NBA fan himself, Suga has showcased his love for basketball in various projects, including BTS's hit song "Dynamite" music video.

In September 2022, he attended a preseason game between the Golden State Warriors and the Washington Wizards in Japan, where he met NBA players and legends. Additionally, he watched a game between the Dallas Mavericks and the LA Lakers in Los Angeles, California, in January.

Suga will participate in various activities using the NBA and his social media channels, attending NBA games and events in the United States and Asia. The NBA will also collaborate with Suga's solo world tour in celebration of his solo debut album "D-DAY."

Suga expressed his excitement, saying, "I've been passionate about music and basketball since I was young. Becoming an NBA ambassador is like a dream come true for me. I am thrilled to officially be in a relationship with the NBA and look forward to the projects we will work on together."

Mark Tatum, NBA COO and Deputy Commissioner, stated, "We are delighted to partner with superstar musician, fashion icon, and passionate NBA fan Suga. We anticipate that he will bring the same excitement to our global fan base as we continue to grow our brand."
