BTS's Jimin Conquers European Charts




BTS's Jimin has swept the music and album charts in various European countries, showcasing his unparalleled global popularity.


Jimin's album 'FACE' debuted at No. 7 on the official German music chart (Offizielle Deutsche Charts), making him the first Asian solo artist to enter the top 10.


He also reached No. 5 on the official chart compiled by the French Recording Association (SNEP), establishing a record as the first and only K-pop solo artist, and achieved the highest debut for a K-pop solo artist in 2023 by reaching No. 3 on the Lithuanian Official Top Album Chart (AGATA).


In addition, he recorded No. 7 on Belgium's Flanders Ultratop Chart 'Top 200' and No. 3 on Wallonia Album Chart, becoming the first and only Asian to enter both charts. He also reached the highest ranking for a Korean solo singer in Finland at No. 18, Denmark and Spain at No. 22, and Italy's FIMI Album Chart at No. 28.


In Switzerland, he reached No. 6 on the 'Top 100' Album Chart, No. 5 on the Trend Album Chart, and No. 1 on the Swiss iTunes Album Chart. The title track 'Like Crazy' also charted at No. 27 on Switzerland's Single 'Top 100' and No. 12 on the Single Trend Chart.


In addition to Switzerland, 'Like Crazy' ranked No. 4 on the Netherlands Single Tip Chart, No. 20 on the Greek Digital Single Chart, No. 71 on the German Official Single Chart, No. 83 on the French Official Single Chart, and No. 93 on the Italian FIMI Top Single Chart, heralding the arrival of a K-pop solo singer that had been unprecedented for the past decade or so.


The pre-released track 'Set Me Free Pt.2' also achieved the best performance in K-pop history by ranking No. 4 on the Austrian Single Chart and entered the top 10 for the second time by ranking No. 4 on the German Download Chart.


In Poland's OLiS Single Chart, he debuted at No. 62, becoming the first and only K-pop singer to enter the chart, and in Portugal's Single Chart, he entered at No. 131, making him the first K-pop solo singer to enter the chart.


Jimin, who achieved the highest-ever ranking among Korean solo singers on the UK Official Chart and topped the Billboard Main Single Chart, has created a new history in Korean popular music. He is now causing another K-pop syndrome by dominating the charts in various European countries.
