IU "I send an SOS to my boyfriend when acting doesn't go well"

Singer and actress IU revealed that she sends out an SOS to her boyfriend, actor Lee Jong-suk, when her acting doesn't go as planned.

In an interview ahead of the release of the movie 'Dream' (directed by Lee Byung-hun), IU was asked if she shares her acting concerns with her boyfriend. She responded, "Since we both have the same job, we naturally discuss our acting. When I have a scene that I really don't know how to approach, I send an SOS to my boyfriend."

IU and Lee Jong-suk, who are seniors and juniors in the entertainment industry, attracted a lot of attention when they went public with their relationship on January 1, 2023. This interview was the first time IU met with reporters since the start of their public relationship. Although questions about her partner could have been burdensome, IU naturally referred to Lee Jong-suk as her 'boyfriend.'

IU revealed that she invited Lee Jong-suk to the VIP screening on the 24th. Regarding this, she said, "I don't know what kind of reaction he will have to my acting since the film hasn't been released yet."

'Dream' is IU's screen debut. Although her second film, 'Broker,' was released to the public first due to the difficulties caused by COVID-19, 'Dream' was the first film she shot, and she had a special attachment to it.

IU said, "It's a work I've been working on for about three years. Although 'Broker' was released first, this is the first feature film I participated in, so the release itself is very meaningful, exciting, and thrilling."

'Dream' is a movie about a former soccer player Hong Dae (Park Seo-joon) and a passionless PD So-min (IU), who challenge an impossible dream with a group of homeless national team players. The film is set to be released on April 26th.
