SEVENTEEN Achieves Record-breaking Pre-order Sales

SEVENTEEN signals a record-breaking 'career high' with their 10th mini-album 'FML' featuring double title tracks for the first time.

According to Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN's 10th mini-album 'FML', set to be released on the 24th, has surpassed 4.64 million pre-orders, setting a new record.

'FML' had already broken the group's own record by exceeding 2.18 million pre-orders within just three days of pre-sale. This number surpasses the first-week sales of their 4th full album 'Face the Sun' released last year, which was 2,067,769 copies.

The pre-order volume is an indicator of the size of a group's fandom, as it represents the number of albums ordered by the distributor in anticipation of consumer demand. This is the highest pre-order volume in K-pop history, surpassing the previous record of 4.02 million copies set by BTS' 4th full-length album 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7' in 2020.

Expectations are high for the new records SEVENTEEN will set with their new album. After achieving their first million-seller with their 7th mini-album 'Heng:garae' in 2020, they joined the million-seller ranks with their 8th mini-album 'Your Choice' and 9th mini-album 'Attacca' released in 2021.

With their 4th full album 'Face the Sun' released in May last year, they became the second artist in Korean music history to surpass 2 million first-week sales after BTS. They also became the first K-pop artist to achieve a million-seller with a repackaged album, 'SECTOR 17.'

As SEVENTEEN has been drawing attention even before the release, there is much interest in what milestones they will achieve with their 10th mini-album.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will release their 10th mini-album 'FML' at 6 PM on the 24th. 'FML' is an abbreviation for the pessimistic slang 'F*ck My Life.' SEVENTEEN plans to understand the conflicts and wanderings of youth from a healthy and positive perspective and convey a message of comfort and hope.

'FML' includes a total of six tracks, including the double title tracks 'F*ck My Life' and 'Son Oh Gong,' unit songs 'Fire' (Hip Hop Team), 'I Don’t Understand But I Luv U' (Performance Team), 'Dust' (Vocal Team), and the group song 'April shower.'

SEVENTEEN said through their agency, "We have included all the music we wanted to do and the messages we wanted to convey in this album. We have prepared harder and more confidently than ever before, and as it's an album with double title tracks, we hope CARATs will like it and gain strength through this album."
